Children grow up to perfect what they were taught in their formative years. It is important that we impress the value of active lifestyles upon our children right from their young age. Today, obesity problems, weight disorders, diabetes, cardiac complications and liver malfunctions have become more pronounced than ever before. Some problems hitherto a recluse of old people have become children problems too.
One of the contributing factors to this worrying trend is inactive lifestyles. More and more often, children are living indoors playing video games or watching TV. The children are also picked up and dropped at the gate to and from school. The children therefore grow up without incorporating any physical activity into their lives. The consequences are too clear to see if we look at the health of contemporary generations.
