YOUTH: BARKING AT THE WRONG TREE

I was walking along the hallway somewhere, when I heard a panel of youngster talking about the recently awarded CNN Hero Efren “Kuya Ef” Peñaflorida. Some of them are asking why it was Kuya Efren”? The other one that, “is their any other Filipino who actually had imparted a lot for his countrymen than Kuya Efren”? Then the last one said “the voting is not fair because we can vote as many times as we wanted to, maybe Kuya Efren had done something to increase his vote. I know their notions might be right and it might wrong too, however the moment I heard those words uttered by a youngster the other side of my heart got impair. It’s so poignant that a youth will talked like this while Kuya Efren is in focus for saving the other youth’s future through his pushcart classes. As I look upon, I made a choice of researching a little about Kuya Efren’s life and achievement for my mind to be at peace.
